The Orc and the Pie

The Orc and the Pie (or shortened by locals to “Orc and Pie”) is a newly-reopened coaching house in the township of Threshold. It is owned by the proprietor Telbar and his wife Perrel, who does most of the “cooking.”. Their daughters work in the taproom, while their sons are sargeants of the guard.

The Orc and the Pie is a tavern that was (hastily) added on to a much older travelers inn formerly known as “The Vigilant Rest” to accommodate (or take advantage of) the influx of adventurers.

Meta

Game

Players must return to The Orc and the Pie in Threshold before they get any XP or gain levels. The point of this is to begin and end in town, so that we can have the open-table game.

Out of character

The name of The Orc and the Pie is a play off of the classic concept of the "bad adventure."

Lots of people think that megadungeons and hexcrawls are “orc and pie,” so I might as well goad them on… right?
